Our Beliefs

The Purpose of Refresh Community Church is to Love God, Love people, Love our City and Change the world. Fulfilling the Great Commandment (Matt 22:36-40) by the Great Commission (Matt 28:18-20) 

We reach people through outreach and evangelism. We help them to Engage in a meaningful relationship with Christ. We bring them into Fellowship with God and other believers. People are renewed as they become a more devoted follower of Jesus. We equip them by helping them with their gifts and providing opportunities for Service. We are servant leaders who love God, love people and serve our city all while honoring God in the process. 

God Dependence

(Christ transforms me)

Transformed people express their faith in God by living in a completely reliant, continually-abiding and constantly growing relationship with Jesus Christ. (Rom 7:18, Ezek 36:26-27, John 15; Matt 22:37, Rom 12:1-2)

Authentic Relationships 

(Christ transforms my relationships)

Transformed people express their love for God by loving and embracing the uniqueness of others in safe, transparent, ever growing meaningful relationships (Matt 22:39, Gal 6:1-3, 1 thess 5:11, 1 john 3:16-20.

Radical Gratitude

(Christ transforms my attitudes)

Transformed people express their thankfulness towards God by celebrating Him openly and living generously (Ps 107:2; 1 Thess 5:18)

Self-Denial 

(Christ transforms my actions)

Transformed people express their humility toward God by modelling a lifestyle of submission to God and considering others more important than themselves. (Luke 9:23; 1 John 3:16; phil 2:3-11; Rom 12:1-2)

Kingdom Expansion

(Christ transform my neighborhood to the nation)

Transformed people express their obedience to God by multiplying disciples, reproducing church planting churches and living missionally as world visionary movement driven agents of transformation in all aspects of life, society and culture. (Matt 28:19-20; Acts 1:8; 2 Tim 2:2)
